My Thoughts

When I told my daughter about this Bible and showed her a preview she was excited. She enjoys graphic novels and reads them more as a way to enjoy illustrations with text. The Bible we received is a hardcover and the pages are not too thick. The graphics are vivid and done well in my opinion. The QR codes embedded in certain stories required me to zoom in on them with my cell phone camera. It will then direct you to a page with an activity on a different topic, badges as they are called in the Bible. These activities can be videos, interactive games, devotionals, maps, prayer guides, and more!

There are a few different ways to read the Bible. Your child can read it from the beginning to the end or by choosing stories based on the seven different topics: courage, faith, hope, love, service, trust, and wisdom. If your child decides to choose a story based on the topics there is a table of contents for each one and they can also check off the stories as they read them.

Now, while my daughter enjoyed looking at and reading through the stories, I will give a bit of my perspective as a parent. I truly believe that a child should have an actual Bible, one that contains the complete word of God. I am okay with my children owning supplemental text or storybooks but when we need to study the word we use our full text Bible. I am fine with this Bible being used for the activities and other interactive features it has to offer but it will not take the place of the full word of God.
