It has been a long time since I took part in the Five Minute Friday writing and I am excited to get back into blogging (hopefully).
Today’s prompt is UNEXPECTED and I think most people when hear the word unexpected they tend to think of something negative. Unexpected loss of someone you love, loss of a job, unexpected financial crisis. It can actually bring about some anxiety when someone says they have something unexpected to tell you. I know it does for me and immediately my head goes to a doom and gloom state.
But not all things unexpected are negative. I think of the many ways God has blessed me and my family UNEXPECTEDLY. There are many times I did not know what I needed to get through an event or situation but God did and unexpectedly a blessing was given. I know in times of hardship it can be hard to find unexpected blessings when the difficulties loom so heavily or take away something dear. But I hope that if you are facing something unexpected, you will find God giving you blessings in the most unexpected ways.
