My Thoughts
We are a dog household (we love cats too!) so I just knew this book would be a good fit for us. During morning time while the kids are just getting ready to homeschool, while we sit at the table and maybe get a little morning snack is a great time to do a quick devotional. Our kids are 5 years in age difference so sometimes it can be tricky to find a devotional that seems right for both of them. However, this devotional is just that! It is a great devotional for kids of all ages and the dog lover.
Both of my kids grabbed the book quickly looking for certain dog breeds listed. This book covers 90 different dog breeds, giving the readers some great facts such as the group, size, and origin of the dog breed as well as the following:
- Unleashing the Truth: Key Bible Verse
- Digging Deeper: Self-reflection questions
- Fido 411: Interesting tidbits about the breed
- Weekly Tail-Waggers: Activities to reinforce each lesson
I really like this devotional. It is easy to just pick up as a family devotional or if you are just looking for a fun and exciting way to encourage your kids to dig into their Bible and discover more about God and His truths. After all, God created dogs and He made them wonderful companions.
