The Unbreakable Boy is a family film that will make you laugh and touch your heart. This family film based on a true story stars Zachary Levi, Meghann Fahy, and Patricia Heaton and is in theaters February 21st! This uplifting film will have you stopping each day to look for the goodness and making each day the best it can be.

When his parents, Scott (Zachary Levi) and Teresa (Meghann Fahy), learn that Austin is both autistic and has brittle bone disease, they initially worry for their son’s future. But with Scott’s growing faith and Austin’s incredible spirit, they become “unbreakable,” finding joy, gratitude, and courage even in the most trying times — an extraordinary true story about a father and son learning together that every day can be the best day of your life!

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie, I will say that the Christian elements in this movie were very mild. Yes, it mentions God and faith but it isn’t portrayed heavily. The focus of this movie was based on a family that finds a way to overcome some very difficult uncertainties. At a moment when the family appears to be broken, faith and courage helps them overcome some great obstacles. From the beginning Scott, the dad, struggles with drinking and it increases as time goes on. His addiction to alcohol brings a very big change to the family.

There were some very emotional moments in this movie, you can feel the emotion of the parents as they raise a child with a brittle bone disease and autism. You rejoice in their joy and feel sorrow in their pain. The infectious laugh and spirit from Austin is amazing to watch. It will really have you thinking about your own situations and how you handle adversity in life.
